Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 April 2026
This privacy policy explains how CookCalcs (cookcalcs.com) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit the site. CookCalcs is operated by Dan Dadovic from the United Kingdom.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and which calculators are most used. GA4 collects data such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring website or search engine
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country/region level, not precise)
- Interaction events (e.g., button clicks, calculator usage)
GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish between visitors. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
GA4 does not load until you explicitly accept analytics cookies via the cookie consent banner. If you reject cookies or dismiss the banner without accepting, no analytics scripts run and no tracking cookies are set.
Cookie Consent
On your first visit, a cookie consent banner appears with three options: Accept, Reject, and Manage. Closing the banner with the X button does not constitute consent — analytics will not run unless you explicitly click Accept.
Your choice is stored in a cookie_consentcookie that persists for 365 days. You can change your preference at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the site footer, which reopens the consent banner.
If you accept cookies, the following cookie is set by GA4:
_gaand_ga_*— Google Analytics cookies used to distinguish visitors and sessions. These expire after 2 years of inactivity.
Bot Protection: Cloudflare Turnstile
The feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated spam submissions. Turnstile is a privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. It does not use cookies for tracking purposes and does not collect personally identifiable information. Turnstile analyses browser signals to determine whether a visitor is human, without presenting a visual challenge in most cases.
Cloudflare's privacy policy governs how Turnstile data is handled. No data collected by Turnstile is shared with CookCalcs beyond a pass/fail verification result.
Email: Resend
When you submit the feedback form, your message is delivered to contact@cookcalcs.com via Resend, a transactional email service. Resend processes only the data you provide in the form (name, email address, and message) for the sole purpose of delivering that message. Resend does not use this data for marketing or share it with third parties.
Local Storage
CookCalcsstores your measurement system preference (US customary or metric) in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie — it never leaves your device, is not sent to any server, and contains no personally identifiable information. It persists until you clear your browser data or change the preference.

|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Site usage analytics | Yes — requires explicit acceptance |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Bot protection on forms | No — essential for form security |

Advertising
CookCalcs does not currently display advertisements. If advertising is introduced in the future, this privacy policy will be updated before any ad scripts are loaded, and ad-related cookies will be gated behind the cookie consent mechanism.

- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
